ER "AGAIN"
2x this week.
This time, not by ambulance.
This fluid pain/ Inflammation, is sooooo AWFUL. SO PAINFUL!
Starts to chock you, loss of voice.
My "First" Steroid Med must have caused Fluid on the shoulders, up neck, spine, across forehead. Across back of shoulders.
Pain this severe, does the fluid need drained?
Is this shoulder/neck swelling bursitis, or steroid shot/med result?
I brought the ER meds with me to ask if something in them is causing this.
Fibromyalgia on top of this pain!
HURTS SO BAD! Inflammation med Not Working for me! (It did immediately tone down hip and knee pain, was thrilled with that outcome. Got rid of the Orangatang/gorilla walk. But it Didn't touch the frozen toes at all. They are as brittle as peanut brittle. (Oh, I haven't had that in a long time.)
Ice not reducing this shoulder pain. Heat not relaxing it. Spasm-meds not taming it, inflammation meds not attacking it. ER Steroid-Shot didn't touch it. (That shot ended up keeping me awake for 3-days. Never using that again.) Not sure why I was given that shot when steroid med caused the fluid. HMMMMMMMM!!!!!
Day 2 in the ER went great. Very sweet nurses and very attentive. At first, they asked if I wanted the same nurse as last week, OH LORD NO! She was the nurse from HEEEEELLLLLLLL##*****!!!
The issue for this second ER visit, the fluid has increased a lot, and on both shoulders now. Creeping upward.
I see my PCP for follow up as this is 1am. I will be asking, "How to remove this painful fluid?"
Better take my hospitol bag!!!! I never know anymore.
If anyone has answers for a NEWLY diagnosed Lupus patient?
Please note it.
I will get it, even though it don't show up.

My physical therapist reset my appts saying, "This is not a physical therapy issue." OH, BOY. I need to get past this issue to get back to my FEET--NOT--WALKING ISSUE.
My rheumatologist is on Oahu, he has me email through my chart every 2-wks on my progress with the meds. Got to tell him, I am off the steroid, now what?
