My Ohio Family is still in Ohio. The Kisha family. Also of Canton, Ohio by Football Hall of fame. Dad is over 90!
Only I, live in Hawaii (Kauai).
Joey, the oldest lives in DC. A real estate empire and still single.
Steve married his first girlfriend, moved to Orlando Florida.
My 3 sisters all live close to Mom's house, where my niece lives, now, in the home my parent's built in 1970.
Dad is now in a retirement home in North Canton. Healthy but mind slipping a bit. WW2 Vet. He is the only sibling of 8 remaining, parents from Austria. I am second generation Ohio / USA.
Mom passed of Ovarian Cancer at 63 in 1999. German: Slabaugh and Snyder family. I am 98% German and 2% Irish.
When mom passed, I moved to Kauai, solo. I said, "Life is not going to end on me, not until I play in every Hawaiian waterfall!"
Little did I know, I'd get an HPV from my travel mate of many years together, and end up with an avoidable HPV that turned to Cervical Cancer w\in 2-yrs after being diagnosed of the STD. And my mate did not stick with me through thick and thin. He just entered dating sites. Wow! I hope he tells women he caries HPV 16, which causes cervical cancer. He will still carry it as its a DNA disease. A skin to skin transfer and DNA change. Which means everyone he slept with, the next girl sleeps with as his DNA continues to take on their DNA cells.
Ovarian cancer is not the same of Cervical Cancer.
Cervical Cancer is from an HPV infection/invasion of cells.
Ovarian cancer is not, initially. And not found in a pap, or tested by a pap.
IF you let your cervical cancer go untreated, then of course it will travel to Ovaries. But our PAP test was invented to show "abnormal cells in the cervix"... Untreated =cervical cancer. That is why we do the pap yearly, "active" or "not" sexually active. It is a skin to skin transfer, not a liquid transfer like aids is. Early detection will save you from the leep procedure, DNC, Kemo, tons of blood work, etc. And on and on.
Anyone sexually active will experience an abnormal pap and will have to deal with curing an HPV.
HPV 16 and 18 are not naturally curable. I got HPV 16.
I had DaVinci assisted, robotic hysterectomy (failure). Not healing from its invasive "five fingers" (5-holes left in your belly, high up... that surgery caused me a life if problems. In a wheelchair now!
So, not always is a robotic hysterectomy yr cure. When surgery goes wrong, you are in for a battle to survive.
If you have questions, please ask me. I am hear for you to find your way. What happened to me was so unexpected as I am not one to date after being married 20 yrs. It should have never happened to me. But my partner is a club guy, and admitted to having relations with young girls, LORD! not my style. i married my first boyfriend. Grew up in a strict Catholic upbringing. Sex was for marriage. My doctor was shocked, being over 50, that I had contracted a young-girls virus. My mate confessed to him, "I date younger girls." That surgery ended our walk down the aisle. Left to heal alone. My 3 sisters in Ohio, and 2 daughters who are raised, and my 2 grandkids. 2 brothers in DC and Orlando Florida. So, I have Inhome care.
Life wasn't supposed to end like this, not on my active to-do list. I picked the wrong travel partner. One who finally admitted he could never be monogamous. It took a couple of sessions from PTSD counselor to get those honest words expelled. Its all I needed to hear to return the engagement ring. We had promised if we were both single on 11-11-11 we would marry. Living on different islands, we merged to fulfill that promise and bring that dream to fruition. But as it goes, Life's Unexpected Interruptions took the breath of life from me. Each day I struggle to be alive. HPV destroyed my life.
